ReproSTAR VL5 HBReproSTAR® VL5 HB
Beef Cattle Vaccine

Product Information [pdf]

ReproSTAR® VL5 HB:

  • Is an inactivated vaccine that helps prevent reproductive disease and failure caused by the most common leptospire found in U.S. herds – Lepto hardjo-bovis1

  • Hardjo-bovis is the only hardjo that afflicts cattle in the United States, but very few vaccines actually contain this fraction – ReproSTAR does

  • Contains an L. hardjo-bovis isolate from a U.S. herd that was experiencing poor conception rates – and was diagnosed with L. hardjo-bovis

  • Also aids in protection against diseases caused by other lepto strains: L. canicola, L. grippotyphosa, L. icterohaemorrhagiae and L. pomona

  • Offers one-dose aid in protection against Campylobacter fetus (previously known as vibriosis), which is associated with early embryonic death and repeat breeders

  • Can be used in replacement heifers and cows at pre-breeding

  • Provides cattle producers with more options to help them combat infertility and reduced profits caused by leptospirosis and campylobacteriosis

L. hardjo-bovis leads to lower conception rates and early embryonic deaths. Campylobacter fetus (vibriosis) also is associated with early embryonic death and repeat breeders. Both can be extremely costly for beef producers. Calves and cattle infected with L. hardjo-bovis can shed continuously and spread the disease within a herd.
