Rhini Shield™ TX4
Swine Vaccine
The latest technology in controlling
atrophic rhinitis, Rhini Shield TX4 helps protect pigs against atrophic rhinitis caused by Bordetella
bronchiseptica or the toxin of Pasteurella multocida Types A and
D, erysipelas, and pneumonia caused by P. multocida Type A. Rhini
Shield
TX4 can be given to piglets at 7-10 days of age, or to gilts and
sows prior to farrowing.
In a severe P. multocida challenge study,
vaccinated pigs showed
significantly reduced snout scores and improved performance compared
to unvaccinated
controls. Vaccinates averaged 3 lbs. more gain than controls five
weeks post-challenge.
Note: Producers who previously used Borde Shield
4 should now use Rhini Shield TX4.
