Scour
Bos® 9
Beef Cattle Vaccine
Product Information [pdf]
Only Scour Bos® 9 lets you prevent scours at the same time
you’re running cows through the chute for preg-check.
Last
year’s brutal winter increased scours incidence in many parts
of the country and now is the time to start thinking about implementing
a prevention program.
A recent survey showed that Scour Bos withstood
last winter’s tough challenge.

more about the findings and how Scour Bos is the vaccine of
choice for veterinarians this season.
Listen to
three veterinarians discuss the value of scours prevention and why
they use Scour Bos.
Preg-check and protect
In the first year, Scour Bos 9 can be given
to pregnant cows as early as 16 weeks prior to calving; a booster
with Scour Bos 4 should be given 4 weeks later. In subsequent years,
revaccinate up to 10 weeks before calving – sooner than
you can with any other product.
Scour Bos 9 offers broad calf
scours protection with:
- Three types of rotavirus
- One type of coronavirus
- Four strains of E. coli bacteria and
- Clostridium perfringens Type C.
Vaccinating pregnant cows with Scour Bos 9 helps build colostral
antibodies that protect newborn calves from the ravaging effects
of neonatal diarrhea, or scours.
In addition to Scour Bos 9, producers
can also select Scour Bos 4 (rotavirus and coronavirus protection),
or Bovine Pili Shield™+C
(E. coli and C. perfringens Type C), depending on the herd health
history and herd management program.
